Woods Augusthus has been designed to become a sustainable office building and follows the principles of DGNB – a method that considers the whole environmental lifecycle of the construction of the building.
The building was nominated as 2021 office building. It's a multifunctional building with office facilities, a restaurant, a grocery store, and a hotel placed inside, providing a work-life balance for those working there. The construction's architecture focuses on the user's health, life- and joy of work. The fluid transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces give a healthy indoor environment.

Openness from in- and outside
The facade of the Nordea Bank is transparent and provides the building with natural light. It gives an open, friendly, and light environment and offers the indoor trees far better growth conditions. The landscape architects SLA designed the outdoor environment outside Nordea Bank, which takes Nordic landscapes as a source of design inspiration.

Attractive green spaces
The unique nature of Amager Fælled is drawn up to the streets between the buildings in August Schade Kvarter through the green planting outside.
We provided our planting solutions for the street trees outside Nordea Bank's new headquarter, so the new urban spaces and functions are more inviting for the people living and working in the area.
The trees are planted in our StrataCells (Milford DK, Milford SE, Milford NO, Milford ENG) – an advanced root-friendly soil cell system for tree pits. The system helps to ensure that the trees have optimal growth conditions under the impervious surface of the area's outdoor spaces and gives the trees a long and healthy life.
